Explanation, please?

 I wish someone would explain this to me--

when a black person is killed by police,  why does that mean a free shopping trip for some people?

I mean, seriously--does looting a store do anything to honor that dead person?   Would he be proud of those who did that? Do they go home with their stolen merchandise and forever remember they got it because a man died? Wouldn't he just be SO proud, knowing his death meant you could steal cell phones and video games?

There are some people who just need to go to hell, and they can't get there fast enough to suit me.

THANKFUL

With the past year being so full of negativity, I decided I was tired of it--tired of thinking about it, tired of writing about it, tired of living with it. 

SO--I spent the past 24 hours concentrating on the good things, things I am so thankful for.

The way my husband turns to me in his sleep and takes my hand, or kisses my forehead --

His soft snore.  I am secure and loved and safe, just hearing him breathe next to me, as he has for over 50 years.

The smell of coffee in the morning. (Wade usually wakes up a bit before I do, and he makes the coffee so it's all brewed when I get up.)

My kids.  I do not see them as often as I would like, but they keep in touch, and they let me know they are there for us every step of the way. 

Our grandson, Dalton Wade--who continually amazes me. He just got a $104,000 Deans scholarship to Gustavis Adolphus college.  I love him beyond measure, and I am so proud of him!

My sweet newly adopted cat, Elsie.  When our 25 year old cat Purrly died at Christmas, I did not think I could love another cat.  I didn't WANT another cat. But Elsie found us, and she has literally saved my life.  She curls up in my arms, gives me head butts, kisses and cuddles. 

Spring is coming. Things are beginning to turn green.  We got our first Pfizer shot, and with it came so much hope--hope for a future that I thought had vanished. 

LIFE.  I am thankful for life.  We may be old, falling apart and half blind, but we can still watch the beautiful sunsets over the river bluffs from our living room windows every night. 

Life is good. 

 

America, I am ashamed of you

Today I read several articles about Covid vaccination sites having to CLOSE in California, due to the fact that so many people who were NOT eligible got their dirty little hands on the access codes, and took appointments that were meant for seniors, front line and essential workers.  Actors, actresses, people in the film industry, and may reporters.

This is not the first time I have read stories like this. A millionaire and his wife took their private plane to a site in Alaska, and posed as local workers, so they could get the vaccine. God knows that crooked politicians--is there any other kind?? --went ahead and got the shot, and so did their families and friends.   Good old DeSantis down in Florida made sure that the people who contributed to his campaign got vaccinated--even though they were NOT eligible.

I cannot say I am surprised.  More and more, America has become a land of "ME FIRST" and "I AM MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU."  

Let me enlighten some of these assholes.  Today, seniors who have been hiding at home, isolated for over a year, CRIED when they were told the clinics would not be giving them their vaccines. 

If you were one of these people who cut in line, I can't wait for your Karma to come calling--and she will.  You are no more important than any other living person on this planet, and if I had my way, you would be prosecuted for fraud or theft or anything else they could charge you with.

My husband and I are 69--we have not yet had our shots, even though I have an immune disorder--because we have been WAITING OUR TURN.  Something MOST of us learned in kindergarten.  

So guess what?  Now you get to wait, like everyone else--but in your case, you are also signed up for Karma, and she WILL come calling--because, as they say, Karma is a Bitch.  

You get what you deserve.

 Well this is wonderful!!  And will they also pass a bill that makes them pay for this childs upbringing for 18 years?

STOP TRYING TO CONTROL WOMENS BODIES!  I don't see any laws governing MENS bodies. I wonder why not?   Maybe they could propose a bill that will require every man to have a vasectomy that could then be reversed when he is mature enough to take care of a child.

OOh, does the thought of governing a MANs body disturb you?

THEN MIND YOUR OWN DAMNED BUSINESS!!

 The HELL you say!!  The GOP just went on public record, saying

THE PRESIDENT CAN DO WHATEVER HE WANTS TO, EVEN TRY TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT!  

So you have NO business saying anything against Bidens agenda.

I cannot wait for the day all you traitors are rounded up and arrested.  As far as I am concerned, there should be public hangings, and maybe then people would decide they should uphold the constitution.

 The GOP has now said it is ok to stage a coup, allow police to be maimed and murdered, all to overthrow a legal election.

The JOKE of an Impeachment "Trial"

 By now, I hope every American has seen the opening video of the impeachment trial.  This should be required viewing for every man, woman and child in America.

I was sickened all over again.  It was so, SO much worse than what we first saw on January 6.  I cannot imagine the fear that the policemen,  congress members,  and guards felt as they faced that bloodthirsty mob.  And keep in mind--THE PANIC BUTTONS AT THE CAPITAL BUILDING HAD BEEN DISABLED.  This was an INSIDE job--

and WHO was on "the inside?"

Let me ask a question here.  Aren't jurors in a trial required to be impartial?  If this is true, then HOW can all those GOP people who have previously and repeatedly sided with Trump BE ON HIS JURY???? 

Ted Cruz, AKA the Major Asshole, has said that the outcome of this (farce) of a trial is already determined, and that Trump will be acquitted .   So these "impartial" jurors have already made up their minds.  

This is all just a GAME.  It has NOTHING to do with the American people who voted!  It has NOTHING to do with the "will of the people".   It is just so much bullshit, thinly disguised as "justice".  In short, it is Political Theater.

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH JUSTICE.  IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT IS RIGHT .WE WILL NEVER FORGET JANUARY 6, 2021.    WE HOLD EVERY MEMBER OF CONGRESS WHO SIDED WITH TRUMP AND OBJECTED TO THE ELECTION OUTCOME RESPONSIBLE FOR SEDITION.

 As Americans, we need to stand up and DEMAND accountability for the many crimes that have been committed.

 

 If they don’t convict Trump, it doesn’t mean that he’s innocent. It means that the entire Republican Party is guilty.
