Winter Treasure

Once begun, this little girl would not be happy until she was completed.  Winter Treasure was completed January 22.  I have ordered some antique fabric for her clothes, but it hasn't arrived yet, so Evie lent her some clothes for her first photo shoot.

 I wanted her to look like a very old doll, one who has been loved and played with and seen many things in her life.  She really does seem like an antique doll, I am thrilled with how she turned out! After I carved Evie, I have carved about 30 other dolls, but I never thought I would carve another doll who spoke such volumes to me.
She speaks to my heart.  I think, after Evie, she is the best I have carved.
